Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay told Newsmax TV that the nation’s former top spy John Brennan was “monetizing” his security clearance before the White House announced it is being revoked. During an appearance on “Newsmax Now,” the Texas Republican said Trump had no choice but to take the security credentials away from former CIA Director Brennan, a frequent Trump critic on Twitter and cable news. “I think it’s a long time coming. I am so glad Trump takes the attitude in politics that there are consequences when you lie to the American people,” DeLay said. The White House said there are other current and former intelligence officials who could also lose their clearances.
